HI! I'M VANESSA.
I'm your Soul Attorney and legal mentor, Vanessa Locicero.
When I started my entrepreneurial journey back when I was a chef who wanted to open my own restaurant, it took me years to get started (and in a different profession no less) because I let the fear and overwhelm surrounding the legal stuff involved in running a business hold me back.
No matter how many hours I spent on Google, talking to coaches, or courses I took, I still didn't have the 30,000 foot view about all of these important and scary legal things that I knew I needed to know about in order to feel safe and secure in my business.
So, I decided to go to law school and learn it all myself. I felt like I was getting a present from Santa with every new legal strategy I learned about.
Once I gained all that knowledge about the legal landscape of doing business and became a full time practicing lawyer running my own law firm, I could see that there was no one out there breaking down the barriers so that every day people starting and running their own businesses could understand this stuff too.
I've invested in coaches and mentors to help me understand all of the other sides of building a business, and implemented all of the strategies I learned to build a solid legal foundation for my empire to grow on. I saw no one was teaching the legal stuff, so I created Legally Lit.
